Our Hourly Fees per grade

We appreciate that some of our clients prefer this more pay-as-you-go traditional funding option. In addition, not all of our services will suit a fixed-fee arrangement.

Understanding Hourly Rate

An hourly rate is a set amount charged for the actual time your allocated solicitor spends working on your case.

Example: If his hourly rate is £200.00 and your matter takes five hours in total, your will be billed: £200.00 x 5 Hrs = £1,000.00. VAT at 20% will then be added, bringing your total bill to £1,200.00.

Estimating our time to completion

During your free initial assessment, we will always give you our best estimate of how long we think your matter might take and then its cost so you won’t get any nasty surprises.

During the lifetime of your case, we will break any big pieces of work down and send you interim bills so that you aren’t paying one big bill at the end.

If things do change as your case progresses or if the cap is fast approaching, we will notify you. We will provide an updated estimate for any further work that may be required to conclude the matter and obtain your approval to proceed.

Our rates per grade

The table below vary according to the seniority of the team member and the nature of the work. VAT will be charged where appropriate. We apply the London band 3 figures as per the government guidelines in effect from 1 October 2021.

Grade A | Solicitors and legal executives with over 8 years’ experience
£282.00
Grade B | Solicitors and legal executives with over 4 years’ experience
£232.00
Grade C | Other solicitors or legal executives and fee earners of equivalent experience
£185.00
Grade D | Trainee solicitors, paralegals and other fee earners
£129.00

Our Fixed Fees per practice area

Almost all of work we undertake is based on the fixed-priced table below. That affords you certainty of spend and help to ensure that you can budget accordingly.  You won’t have to worry about unexpected expenses and we can just get on with your matter and focus on its completion.

Our payment facilities

Everyone should have access to legal services when needed. At Eagles, we offer all our clients the very best legal advice at very reasonable fees while taking into account their financial constraints. We will discuss with you a range of payment options to help you plan and manage your costs.

Payments on account

At the start of each retainer, we do require funds on account or a sum equivalent to the disbursements or initial attendance, whichever is the greater. If the matter does not proceed to completion, a fee may be applicable. Any such fee will be calculated according to the time spent and the stage at which the transaction ended.

Instalments

We can do accept instalments for our fees and payments can be made by direct debit, bank transfer, card, cheque or cash. Each matter will be decided individually and to the appropriate level of payment and repayment period. Please discuss this with your fee earner at the start of your retainer.

Pay as you go

Invoices will be rendered on a regular basis or at an appropriate stage depending on the matter, unless agreed otherwise. Any discounts applied are on the assumption of prompt payment. For your convenience, we accept payment by cheque, cash or bank transfer.

No Win No Fee

We might be able to offer you a No Win No Fee agreement, also known as a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA). It allows you access to justice if you are unable to afford the legal fees or bear the financial risk of losing your case. There are no upfront fees and you only pay a contribution from your compensation settlement if you win.
